The "Agriturismo Vetriceto" offers hospitality to the ones who wish to spend a

calm but stimulating holiday, relaxing themselves in a spacious and confortable country

cottage plunged into nature and located at the borders of the Foreste

Casentinesi National Park. Its optimum position allows the guests of the

Agriturismo to go hiking pleasantly inside the Park, availing themselves on the Owner's

experience as a Park Official Guide. You can also discover and visit little and

charming historical towns in the vicinity, but above all the beautiful city of Florence, which is only 40 kilometres/25 miles away.

Our business consists in growing and picking I.G.P. chestnuts (a

E.U. certification which means Protected Geographical Indication) ,

breeding a particular variety of donkeys from Monte Amiata and other small

pets,and (of course) horticulture.

The surrounding landscapes are made of green woods where you can still see and meet

wild animals, go hiking and get the pleasure of being in an intact environment,

so you can enjoy the peaceful silence which nature offers.

Every season has its own features: the tender green awakening in spring, fresh

weather in summer, fertile fruits in autumn,  peaceful rest in winter.
